Remember back here when I told you I was off to art class with brazen enthusiasm and not much else :)  Well I just finished my first attempt at a little water colour.

I'm shamelessly proud of it despite it's very obvious flaws because it's enough to make me feel that there is potential (hands up all those who HATED that word during the days of school reports).  I am enjoying myself which of course is the main thing.

I show you this now as opposed to later because after lunch I'm off to an art exhibition (needless to say I didn't enter anything) where I plan to buy a beautiful painting being exhibited by my friend Tish, and then I will show you what a painting should really look like :)

This morning I'm in love with this Curvy Chrysanthemum Vase I stumbled across at Anthropologie and I'm a bit twisted that they don't ship to the land of Oz :(  International trade anyone?

Here At Last

It's been a rather slow post week for a very delightful reason.

My baby sister (are you still the baby when you're almost 33?) had her own baby boy and our whole family has been quite consumed by him.

Tuesday Torture

Short and sweet tonight lovelies, this week I lost 1.1kg.  Woot woot!

A quick thought - I do find I tend to relax a bit from Wed to Sat where I seem to bask a bit in my good work. Which means on Sun - Tues I have to focus really hard to make sure I stay on track for Tues night weigh-in.  I'm working on being more balanced.

Not quite but nearly at my next goal of 85kg.

Artist Adoration: Caitlin McGauley

I was introduced to Caitlin McGauley over at Ada & Darcy this morning and I so enjoyed the pictures Kellie posted of her work that of course I had to look for more (I am nothing if not a good googler).  While she is probably better known for her bright illustrative work like those in Kellie's post I was interested to find these black and white paintings she did for Ralph Lauren a few months ago.

Movie Review: Bridesmaids

Last week a group of us met up for another CATF movie (love, love, love) and it was snortingly, chokingly, gasping-for-breathingly HYSTERICAL.  I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard.  Kristen Wiig's performance is achingly perfect as her life suffers blow after blow. Excruciatingly embarrassing in the way that makes you want to step into the screen and save her.

If you can't rustle up a gaggle of girlfriends to see this with, because it goes places no self-respecting chick flick should ever go (!),  you might just be able to twist the arm of your fella to accompany you and I'll eat my shorts if he isn't snorting with laughter too.

Izzle for shizzle, it romps in a 4/5 from me :)
