Fashion Friday

During the week I decided to add a Fashion Friday post to my regular schedule and was delighted when Arpad Busson's 10th annual Absolute Return for Kids (Ark) gala took place on Thursday night - the perfect place for me to start, with a red, or in this case purple, carpet.

As the one of the Brit papers said, "nice try girls, but there's only one fashion winner", the night belongs to the Duchess.

Royal Round-Up

It's been too long since I've posted about Wills & Kate (it must be a week at least).  I can't help myself, think I may have to make this Royal Round-Up business a regular post :)  Anyway to the matter at hand, here they are doing the rounds with the fam at Epsom Racecourse on Saturday just gone.

Tuesday Torture

I am proud to report a fabulous loss this week (and so it should be, I worked bloody hard!). 1.6kg!  Yes, you read it right.  I'm thrilled.  My total weight loss is now 6.1kg.  I am cheerful and chipper and buoyed for the week to come :)

What I did right in the last 7 days:

• I tracked what I ate very diligently.  I bought a set of cheap $19 scales from Woolies to make it easier!
• I started exercising - I only managed to go for a walk twice instead of three times but moving at last :)

I don't feel ready to set any new goals for the week just want to bag these ones properly so it'll be track, track, track and more walking, walking, walking.

I really feel not just like I can do this but like I am doing this!

Kitchen Cupboards

We're starting to organise our kitchen renovation - it's coming down to overseas holiday this year or house extension and I am shamefully leaning toward the renos! (the lack of storage space in our house is killing me).  While I originally thought I would have white kitchen cabinetry, grey is really starting to grow on me.

P&P Press

A wee bit of showing off and shameless self-promotion - yesterday, our (and by our I mean The Princess & The Pea) lovely ABC Flashcards were featured along with lots of other great children's products on page 7 of the SHOP SMART lift-out in The Sunday Telegraph.

They come to us from Cavallini & Co, a San Francisco based paper maker (not nearly an exotic enough description of what they do).  Each card features a capital letter and gorgeous illustration, packaged in tin they are both playful and practical.
