Royal Round-Up

You know I never miss an opportunity to bring you another Duchess of C moment so here she is yesterday rocking out in red (L.K. Bennett, boy has she put this label on the map!) with Princess Mary and Princess Frederik in Copenhagen.

I usually think of 'our' Mary and Fred as being quite tall so it's funny to see them cast as 'shorties'.  Useless piece of information - Wills is 6' 3" and Kate is 5' 10".

Vincent & Josephine

They're the names we've been eager to know since Denmark's royal twins came along on January 8 this year.  Vincent Frederik Minik Alexandre and Josephine Sophia Ivalo Mathilda to be precise (mind you I have read a number of different spellings of the names over the last couple of hours so we'll wait and see).  Like their father and grandmother (Queen Margrethe) were christened at Holmen church yesterday evening our time.

5 things you didn't need to know

And because I'm nothing if not frivolous, a quick celebrity/entertainment update in order of what directly impacts me personally ;)

1. Posh is preggers. I hope she has a girl.

2. I can't wait for Oprah, Behind the Scenes to come to Oz.

3. Kate Middleton will make her way to the Abbey by car not horse drawn carriage. It's riveting stuff.

4. A few months ago I thought I should cancel my Vanity Fair subscription when it turned up with Lindsay Lohan on the cover. This month when it arrived with Justin Bieber staring blankly out at me, I did. Come on Graydon, it's Vanity Fair.

5. Princess Mary has had her twins, a la natural, one of each. Of course she has. What I meant to say was, congrats.

The first Tuesday in November

Other than Anna Sewell's Black Beauty, a few terrifying moments at pony club when I was 7 and learning Jessica's Theme on the piano in preparation for my own prince charming after I saw The Man from Snowy River, I've had very little to do with the equine variety. But as I do have friends who love them and the race that stops the nation is taking place in a few hours time...for you, a horsey post.
