For Sale

It will only set you back a cool $28 million but if you've got it to spare you can buy the former Connecticut estate of screen legend, Katherine Hepburn.

She lived here (the home had been in her family since 1913) until she died in 2003.  A year later it was sold for $6 million, to Frank Sciame, a construction builder owner.  He and his wife originally intended to sell it as soon as it was renovated but fell in love with it and for the last eight years they've called it home (in the summer).

Notice the book about  Ms Hepburn on the coffee table?  Subtle.

If I'm honest, it's far too white and bland for me but some dark furniture and decor could sort that out in a twinkling for me!

  1. It's a lovely home! The white frames the view outside. Have a beautiful start of the week, Kellie xx

  2. Oh My Word! I'll take a summer house like that please! Gorgeous!

  3. I would love it for the history alone - beautiful! Tracey xx

  4. The house itself is beautiful...

maybe just a little color here and there
    and a few interior renovations.

Oh I love the spaciousness and airiness of this house.

  5. I'm loving all of the white! And how great would it be to say you own Katherine Hepburns home?!
