Sorry for the rather lacklustre posting this week but I think I've got a good excuse...
...after years and years and YEARS of dreaming (and I do mean that literally, I have walked the streets of Manhattan in my sleep) we have decided to go to New York for a holiday.
I am utterly consumed by our plans and have been able to concentrate on little else. I guess you could say "I'm lost between the moon and New York City" ;)

Wow, happy planning & exciting travels, yahoo!! Love Posie
ReplyDeleteYes!!! I am so excited for you guys!! Can't wait to hear all your plans.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to NYC! I've lived here my whole life. I recommend you take a walking tour of the Upper East Side from East 66th up to East 85th between 5th Ave and Park Ave. Also Sutton Place South (where I live) has beautiful homes too. Those of you not in NYC can do the same via Google Streetview until you can make it in person. I just love the architeture of NYC! Enjoy your stay!
ReplyDeleteoh! and P.S. - I forgot to add: stay as far away from the Meatpacking District as possible! It's tourist central! Native Manhattanites cannot stand it! It's like Vegas! Yuck.
ReplyDeleteI had the most amazing time in NYC! So much to see and do. I really liked Ellis Island for the history and the architecture, and was most disappointed by the Museum of Natural History (if you're in the area check out the dinosaur in the lobby but don't bother to pay admission to see the rest). Of course, you'll see a show on Broadway, right?
ReplyDeleteArrrrgghh..am so totally jealous! 'Envious' doesn't even do it justice! Lucky you. Would love to do the same...just need to sort a 6 and 8 year old (anybody, anybody....)? My first visit to NY blew me away. We were living in London and I thought it would be like London, but American. It's just NY - not like anywhere else and that's what I like about it. Enjoy planning and dreaming! Annie x.
ReplyDeleteSnap! We are going in September! I am so excited about it, I am verging on hysterical! What are your must-do plans when you are there?
ReplyDeleteOkay, time to take a break from planning. Some of us are missing your blogs, lovely lady. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh I love that song.
ReplyDeleteAND I would love to go to New York.
I have a friend that just moved there and I get all my thrills through her.
I logged on tonight to find out how the week went - and what a doozy of a week you are (no doubt) having.
Enjoy the planning and then REALLY enjoy the holiday.
Congratulations (_:
Yay how exciting! Please keep us up to date with your planning. I've never been to New York but it has always been number 1 on my list to visit. I too am planning my first trip this time next year and am already so excited!
ReplyDeleteHappy planning xx
My dream, like yours, came true last September for me and it lived up to every expectation I had. Enjoy it! It's a great city. Ange
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you - I'm quite jealous! I know what you mean about thinking of little else - We are going to Italy next year and I'm already obsessing over plans! Can't wait to see where you go in NY and what you would recommend!
