Of course I know the odds, 20 gazillion people vying for not that many tickets but my glass-half-full-type of personality still thought I would be one of the lucky ones. Not so.
And then this morning, just in case I didn't understand the first rejection...

They're just rubbing it in. And to risk the wrath of any of your readers in the US of A... why are the tickets open to them as well? We'd have more of a chance if we were only competing with people in our own country :).

Yeah, I got that email too. Somehow I honestly thought I was going to get tickets, not sure why. And for what it's worth, I put you as my +1. So basically you lost twice - sorry.
